An explosion of colors in the entrance hall

An explosion of colors in the entrance hall

It's the first room of the house and therefore one of the most important. Don't forget to decorate it with an explosion of colors using the ideas we've prepared for you.

Avoid being too hasty: don't take the expression "explosion of colors" too seriously, otherwise, the probability of not liking the result will be huge...

An explosion of colors doesn’t have to be synonymous with using all the colors in the palette, quite the contrary. The first step before starting to decorate the entrance hall is to think of those that would be the best shades for the room.

So start by defining a color palette, to make sure you don't opt for others that have nothing to do with the ones you chose at first. There are many inspirations all over the internet, so it's best to start your research before making any decisions.

You can opt for more vibrant colors or pastel tones. The important thing is that you choose the "meaning" you want to follow from the beginning to the end of the entrance hall decoration so that you never lose your main focus.

Regardless of whether you have a small or large entrance hall, these tips will help you in any situation. Learn how you can decorate the hall with, at least, an inviting color explosion.

1. Use bright colors

Bright colors the "vibrant" ones we told you about at the beginning of this article result very well when they are all mixed. Of course, if you're looking for an atmosphere of tranquility, it's best not to follow this tip.

However, if you just want to welcome your guests and even your own family, then this may be a good option. Combining yellow, green, blue, and even pink can work better than you think.

The possibilities are immense and you don't have to (and shouldn't) just paint the walls. Go further and hang paintings of different colors. Use mirrors, furniture, and even carpets of various colors.

2. Paint motifs on walls

Forget that classic idea of having all the walls in the same color, where there is no original element that "jumps" more to sight. Pick some motifs/figures that you like and paint them on the walls in a different color than the "base" color, of course.

This is an excellent example of how you can give creativity wings to decorate the entrance hall with an explosion of colors. The preference for blue and pink on the walls in no way affects the placement of plants (green, of course) on the floor of the entrance hall. Note that there is still room to lean a picture against the right wall, which shows that everything depends on your creativity!

3. The retró style

Is there a more retró entrance hall than this one?

Returning to past trends doesn't necessarily have to be something negative plus we can't deny that older trends are constantly returning as trendy ones because they are cyclical.

So, opting for the retró style to decorate the entrance hall is a great idea and the truth is that there is no greater explosion of colors than that one. Of course, if you want to follow this tip, you should give (more) preference to pink, which should work as the basis for the rest of the decoration.

The great advantage of using this tone is the ease you’ll have in finding others that complement it and that create the style you are looking for. You can, therefore, choose wood support furniture, decorative elements in lighter tones (or in copper, another great trend), place plants, and even hang pictures and/orphotos on the walls.

4. An explosion of more discreet colors

If you're not a fan of mixing different colors, especially because you don't think this is the best way to welcome people into your home, then don't worry. The explosion of colors you can use to decorate the entrance hall can be more discreet than we have shown you so far.

To recreate this kind of decoration, you must choose a single color to paint the walls preferentially a darker one. You must do it since that is the tone that will ensure that the rest of the decoration works.

You can, however, hang pictures and/or photographs, as this will not affect the explosion of discreet colors you want to create. You can also choose furniture in dark wood and even put plants where you like best.

By choosing a discreet color palette, you’ll be able to create the decoration you are looking for. One of the advantages of following this idea is that you can easily change the decorative objects you already have for others as many times as you like.

Whatever tip you follow to decorate the entrance hall with an explosion of colors, we’re sure you’ll love the result. The entrance of the house is indeed one of the most forgotten rooms when it comes to interior design, but now you have no reason not to bet on its customization.
